The catalogue for KAM’s 2010 exhibition, The Strange Life of Objects: The Art of Annette Lemieux, was one of five publications to win Awards of Distinction from the Society of Typographic Arts (STA), as well as the Judge’s Choice. KAM’s 2011 print materials (newsletter, calendar, and exhibition announcement card) were also winners in this competition—competing with 242 other entries. The publications were included in STA’s Chicago Design Archive (Archive 11), which opened October 7 at the Harrington College of Design.
The publication and print materials were designed by the Chicago graphic design firm, Studio Blue.
KAM has also won design awards in the past, including the recent exhibition catalogue Stranger in Paradise: The Works of Reverend Howard Finster (Design: Nivens Design, Champaign) and the Spring 2010 Newsletter (Design: Studio Blue, Chicago).
